Terms of Business

About Us

With Jack is a trading style operated by Ashley Baxter Limited. Ashley Baxter Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (No. 813999). You can check this by visiting the Financial Services Register or by contacting them on 0800 111 6768.

Our Service

As our service is non-advised you will not receive advice or a recommendation from us. We may ask some questions to narrow down the products that we will provide details on. You will then need to make your own choice about how to proceed.

We act as your agent in placing the insurance and in the event of a claim. In sourcing a suitable policy it is important that you check carefully any form that we may help you complete or information we pass on for accuracy, as you could be held responsible for any errors which in turn may affect your ability to claim.

Your duty of disclosure

If the insurance is arranged wholly or mainly for purposes related to your trade, business or profession you have a duty to disclose all material facts whether or not the insurer asks for specific information. This duty applies throughout the life of your policy, and when you renew your insurance. Material facts are any facts which may influence the Insurer’s deciding to accept the policy and/or what terms are applied. Failure to disclose a material fact may invalidate your insurance and could mean that your claim will not be paid.

Whose products do we offer?

We do not select insurers from a “fair analysis” of the market. Instead, we work exclusively with Beazley. Beazley is rated ‘A’ by A.M. Best

How to cancel

You can cancel your policy at any time by contacting us. We do not charge administrative or cancellation fees, but we are required to give the insurer 30 days’ notice.

We asked ourselves one important question…

What do we want out of an insurance provider?

With Jack is the answer

How to claim

You should contact us as soon as possible and we will assist you with the first notification of loss. Please contact us on 0141 816 0150 or hello@withjack.co.uk.

Fees and charges

We do not make charges to clients in excess of the premium amount charged by insurers. Paying your premium by instalments incurs no additional fees, nor do we charge for cancellations or administrative changes.

Our earnings

We arrange the policy with the insurer on your behalf. You do not pay us a fee for doing this. We receive commission from the insurer which is a percentage of the total annual premium. You are entitled, at any time, to request information regarding the commission which we have received as a result of placing your insurance business.

Protecting your money

Prior to your premium being forwarded to the insurer, and for your protection, we either hold your money as an agent of the insurer (in which case your policy is treated as being paid for), or we hold it in a client bank account on trust for you.

Your money will be protected at all times because of the requirement of FCA rules. We also reserve the right to retain interest earned on this account.

By accepting this Terms of Business Agreement, you are giving your consent for us to operate in this way.

Complaints

It is our intention to provide a high level of service at all times. However if you have reason to make a complaint about our service you should contact us:

  • By phone: 0141 816 0150
  • In writing: 4-3 The Pentagon centre, 36 Washington Street, Glasgow, G3 8AZ
